SketchFest Seattle Presents: A 5-Week Sketch Writing Intensive with Mike Mathieu* of the critically acclaimed

The Cody Rivers Show

Learn the art of sketch comedy from a local pro! Students will write original sketches and receive feedback. Mike will cover basic things like establishing and building a “game” within a sketch, useful “make your sketch better” tactics like adding parallel games, putting your characters in unexpected locations, relationships, and situations, and layering with elements that would be exciting or challenging to pull off on stage. The goal is to bring in new work each week.

This class is open to all levels, no experience necessary. Classes will be held Wednesdays from 6-9pm, June 15- July 13 at TPS room B. Tuition is $120 and must be paid in full at the first class via cash or check. Spaces are limited to 12 students. Must be 18 or older to register. Contact Sketchfest Education Director Natasha Ransom at natasha0ransom@gmail.com to register, and she will respond with more information. Thanks!
